THE GRANARY

Opened by Shannon Development in the basement of the renovated grainstore. It was originally a Bunratty Castle-styled banquet but became a rocking spot for live music.

DOC’s

The best clubbing experience in Limerick for years. A big dance floor, always full as the crowd waited for the “green laser lights” to descend over the dancers - a technology so advanced in those days it needed its own cooler system! The crowd and the music was young, fun and unpretentious. Some of the big names who played included Tiesto & Boy George!

TRINITY ROOMS

“Trinners” took the good vibes and hazy fond memories of Doc’s, and amped everything up to 11 and drove a stampeding elephant through it (literally) - and that was just the opening night. Trinity Rooms was Doc’s for the Celtic Tiger age with huge nights featuring deadmau5, Moloko, Roger Sanchez and Calvin Harris alongside Saturday night resident, Paul Webb, who always kept it fresh.

Across 3 rooms and 2 courtyards, it was the backdrop to the Celtic Tiger cubs of Limerick at play and put Limerick firmly on the map for nightlife.
