You never went out to Costello’s, you just ended up there they say but that would be to a disservice to the great club nights – Skint on Thursdays with Skinnyboy Jaz which hosted the likes of Alan Simms from Belfast’s Shine and introduced DnB DeeJay Code who went on to establish the highly regarded Subtle Audio record label. The deep house and hip hop grooves of Silk on Fridays made Stevie G a Limerick legend. Blue on Saturdays saw the likes of DJ Hype, Funk D’Void and others making the pilgrimage up the stickiest stairs in the world. 

Then of course the years of loyal service of the two Flann’s – Senior on the door, Junior on the decks soundtracking a million Saturday nights that no one from outside Limerick could ever understand! A venue that is still much missed to this day. Rumours of its reopening emerge every now and again to huge excitement, but the doors have remained closed.
