Like a little slice of New York, the basement club at Baker’s was a dark warren with the music always on the indie side of things but Tuesdays and Thursdays were particularly strong. In later years, house and techno with Viva Studios kept this spot relevant to the end, and of course, The Wicked Chicken was hipster before hipster was even a thing.
