Jonas Erik Altberg, known worldwide as Basshunter, is a Swedish DJ, singer, songwriter, and producer born on December 22, 1984, in Halmstad, Sweden. Rising to fame in the mid-2000s, Basshunter became a global sensation with his infectious eurodance and trance hits, blending pulsating beats with catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics. His breakout single, “Boten Anna” (2006), a Swedish-language track about an IRC chatbot, topped charts across Europe and introduced his signature high-energy sound. Its English counterpart, “Now You’re Gone” (2007), skyrocketed to #1 in the UK, cementing his status as a dance music icon.
